IPv4 Addresses Bringing In Big Bucks
With the shortage of IPv4 addresses and the private marketplaces booming, soon each one of them could bring in up to $100 each.
What’s noticeable is that network operators are constantly willing to purchase IPv4 addresses to bypass the infrastructural changes that IPv6 addresses require, obtaining allocations of older protocols.
The rapid growth in the internet infrastructure has led to the exhaustion of a pool of almost 4.2 billion IPv4 addresses. Although this was predicted years ago, it was never really granted the right amount of attention which would have made IPv6 migration easier.
The growing shortage has given birth to a private marketplace where used IPv4 addresses are being sold at significant prices.
According to various research studies conducted last year, there was a prominent increase in the number of IPv4 addresses being traded with brokers marketing their services at internet registry conferences as well as online. Reliable IPv4 brokerage services like ours help eliminate the hassles involved in transferring of these addresses and also eliminate any legal confusion that come along.
The fact is, a large number of IPv4 addresses that were distributed earlier are still unused. Contrary to popular belief, we have not really run out of IPv4 addresses but many of them have still not been used at all.
IPv6 Is Not Yet the Answer to the Scarcity
Although a large number of networks are moving over to IPv6 addresses, the migration is still questionable.
When analyzed on a global scale, IPv6 adoption is still uneven. The problem is not an or/even one with IPv4 and IPv6. An internet service provider has to provide support for IPv4 as long as there is content that the customers can only reach out on IPv4. ISPs can’t go for IPv6 until the services also have IPv6.
Even though higher IPv4 pricing isn’t really a problem for most countries, it might eventually become a problem for third world countries. For example, IPv4 prices may eventually become too much for countries with larger populations like India.
Therefore, paying for IPv4 addresses while they are still affordable is a sound decision. Whether you are looking to sell IPv4 addresses or lease/buy them, we can help you out.
At IPv4 Mall, we maintain a wide network of reliable buyers and sellers who are constantly engaged in IPv4 transactions. We ensure highly competitive rates and streamlined transferring services so that you don’t need to deal with the hassles! Get in touch with us to learn more.
